Royal Guard

A watercolor of a royal guard from Canterlot. I added more detail and tweaked the design of the armor a little. I think it turned out well. I had initially thought to make him scuffed up from a battle, but while painting the piece I realized that I didn't want him to come off as a deserter. 

So I changed it to look like he has just noticed something over the horizon...

Done on recycled bristol paper (which claims to be "exceptional for watercolors" but really it's not. The paper started to curl.)

I also tweaked the sharpness and contrast slightly. (The original has more reds and is softer in appearance.)
